🤯 2.7 Million Videos

Whatcha think about the new AirPods Pro 3 with the live AI translation? Though you gotta have your iPhone to look at for a transcript. I’ve been using a free Chrome extension that uses AI to translate as a way to beef up my Spanish language skills using Atres Player. It’s not perfect but pretty cool.

So while I was sitting the waiting room at the doctor’s office today, I came across something kinda crazy that I wanna talk about.

I mean, I been over here beating myself up at not being able to make my 1 video per week goal as a result of recovering from this back injury and now I see someone uploading hundreds of videos a WEEK.

It’s Day 20 of me making a real effort to scale Growth Cupid. Took some time to sit down and look at the leads I've talked to in an attempt to determine wtf is going on with me getting leads that aren't a good fit (not big enough budget for services). Junk ass videos

So, here’s a look at the channel I saw today -

The channel is OLD but these videos only started being uploaded in the last year. Likely a monetized channel that was sold and rebranded.

So, here’s what I think is interesting here -

All these videos are two minutes in length (2:02) and essentially identical. The only change is the name. So, super easy to copy & paste a new name over the old one.

Simple video. Simple process.

Export video from video editor, then upload. Duplicate the same YouTube settings (description, title, settings, etc.) with that same extension listed above. Change the name in the thumbnail. Publish.

All in let’s say that this takes 5 minutes each time.

At 479 videos a week, if you only work 5 days a week, then that’s what, ~8 hours with no breaks each day? (Feel free to check my math cause I am drinking a margarita right now)

And all that to make an estimated $214 - $643 monthly?

That shit is bananas. Why would you do this? I sure as shit hope this is someone in a country where that is baller money for 40 hours of work a week.

I don’t even think you could sell this channel for a decent amount.

Of course, if you have a site that’s got display ads on it also in the “names” niche then you could bundle them…but would anyone really wanna pay asking price for the bundle knowing how much work this channel requires for such a low payout?

That’s what I been thinking about today.
