🤔 Are You Using Beehiiv?

Are you running a newsletter on Beehiiv and using Beehiiv ads for monetization?

Ya might wanna double-check your ad reports for this month compared to your email performance analytics.

You see, I noticed some shady ass shit earlier this month and confirmed on Reddit that I’m not the only one seeing it.

Accidental or Accidentally On Purpose?

You already know that this newsletter is on Beehiiv. It’s not the only one that I have on the platform.

And, I use Beehiiv ads to monetize all of my Beehiiv newsletters.

So, I’m noticing a new trend this month -

• serious decline in the number of “verified clicks”

• a subscriber will sometimes count as a “verified” click and sometimes not

• if multiple ads in an email, the lower paying one gets “verified” but not the higher paying one

It may be a coincidence, but this month is also a special promo month for Beehiiv Boosts where Beehiiv is matching all those payouts (doubling Boosts revenue).

Seems like maybe people monetizing with Beehiiv ads are subsidizing the cost of this promo?

I’m waiting for a reply to my support ticket on this -

So, if you’re also on Beehiiv and using ads to monetize….ya might wanna compare your ads performance reports against your individual email performance analytics.

For me, my newsletters don’t bring in a notable amount of revenue from Beehiiv ads and I’ve already likely spent more time on this than is worth it for me.

But what about the people who are using Beehiiv ads to pay for some of their living expenses?

I also just hate when companies do shady shit just cause they can get away with it. But if you’re not new here, then you already know that about me.
