💰 Facebook Bonus Program/Content Monetization

It’s been a while, so let’s talk about the Facebook Bonus program.

If you’ve been a here a while, then you know that I had a gardening page get into the program last year…

then I partnered with someone to grow it and in less than a month the page got kicked out of the bonus program.

It still has not been let back into the program.

I’ve also been working with someone (different guy) to grow a page of his and get it into the program.

We’ve been at 10K+ likes for a bit now…and no invite yet.

Is 35,000 the new 10,000?

So back when I was first trying to get my gardening page into the Facebook Bonus program, the magic number of likes you needed to qualify was 10,000 page likes.

That’s why I mentioned the 10K number above for the other page I’ve been working on as a JV project.

Anyways, late last year Facebook started transitioning people to the Content Monetization program instead of the Bonus program. And the Bonus program is closed right now…

And in recent months it’s been rare to hear of people getting into the Content Monetization program at 10K likes or below. Or just into the program at all.

I assume that has something to do with the Breakthrough Bonus program that started not too long away when they were trying to woo people away from TikTok.

But I did find someone on Twitter who was invited into the program in December…with over 30,000 likes…

And I’ve learned that Publisher In A Box has recently changed the requirements of who they’ll work with to pages with 100,000 likes.

Makes me wonder what the minimum number of likes really is these days.

I’ll let you know if/when we get this page into the program.
