I’ve been seeing reports lately about people in the Facebook Bonus program having their pages penalized.

By penalized, I mean they end up getting kicked out of the program without any real details on what they’ve done wrong.

And it seems like there isn’t any real way back in.

Are You Really Making Money?

So let’s backup and look at how you get started with the Facebook Bonus Program (or Content Monetization if that’s the one you’re on).

Everyone starts the same - running a page ”Likes” campaign to grow the number of likes so that you have good engagement.

It used to be that you could get into the program with less than 10,000 likes. These days you need at least 50,000 likes and even that doesn’t guarantee an invite.

So, you’re giving Facebook/Meta money for the chance that they’ll give you some back in the future.

Let’s say that it works. You’ve run the ads, you got the likes, and you got invited to the program.

You may learn, like me, that you’ve picked a bad niche and you can’t even make a dollar a month.

Or, it may take off and you might start seeing hundreds or thousands of dollars a month.

You start day dreaming about how many months it’ll take for you to reach a certain financial goal.

Then, boom, without warning your monetization is restricted for some phantom issue.

And oh yeah, they’re not paying out the thousands of dollars you’re due.

This is happening to people.

The comment section has more tales of this happening to people. Including one who was monetized when a payment never arrived….only after inquiring did his monetization get deactivated.

I recommend you get into that group to read the comments.
