My Facebook Page Reached 10,000 Likes

Over the weekend, the gardening Facebook page that I was growing reached my target goal of 10,000 likes and I stopped the ad that I was running.

I started out testing an ad that never really got as low of a per-like cost as I wanted. If I remember correctly it was around six or seven cents and then I got distracted by another project letting this one creep up over ten cents!

Here’s the totals for that first ad -

Oof, I hate that I was distracted to the point that the average like here was over ten cents.

The second ad I tested performed insanely well with most of the likes costing me only four cents. This one was an AI image, so no surprise it did better.

Though it did start to creep up a bit at the end, hence the higher average cost.

The first ad started running on April 9th and I stopped the final ad on July 7th.

With the current page likes at just over 10,100, you can see from the screenshots that most of the page likes came directly from the ads.

In my experience, this is normal and the page starts to grow organically on its own after reaching 10K likes.

Compared to the other times I’ve done this, I am see fewer clicks through to my website than I expected. However, I’ve never worked in this niche and I was recently chatting with someone who has experience in it and he told me the problem is that we’ve made it past the peak season for this niche.

So, who knows what the future holds for this page/site. I’ll just still be scheduling posts.

Beehiiv Ads Update For This Newsletter

Though I’m not running Beehiiv Ads on my local newsletter, this is the second month of me running them in this one - and giving away all of the earnings!

Last month’s total was somewhere over $200 and I think we’re on track to exceed last month’s earnings right now.

Here’s where we’re at -

You’ll notice this is a different screenshot than normal - I got some complaints about it being hard to read last time so maybe this summary is better?

I want to be transparent about how much each newsletter earns, but maybe just a month-end one of the old screenshots will do?

Anyways, that doesn’t include earnings from the newsletter before this one - and I’m currently scheduled out for ads through the 25th.

That’s a lot of ads, which is why I think the total earnings for July will be more than for June.

Just a reminder for how I’m giving away the monies - Each newsletter where you click on the ad = one entry for the monies. And that has to be within 72 hours of the email hitting your inbox.

Next Time…

I’m thinking of starting, and growing, a new Facebook page in a non-seasonal niche. Maybe just focused on the Bonus program, even though I know people’s earnings are down.
