šŸ˜† Food Bloggers Can't Handle The Heat

maybe don't be a turd?

I have some funny news that Iā€™ve been meaning to share.

So, Iā€™m not 100% certain, but I think it was this update from December when I last shared something about the recipe bloggers in the Food Bloggers Central group on Facebook.

If youā€™re new here, Iā€™ve been watching them be crazy jealous about AI sites and go on witch hunts to try to get them all shut down.

And Iā€™ve been trying to share the urls of the sites theyā€™re targeting.

Wellā€¦those days are over.

They Big Mad

One of them clearly saw me responding to this thread on Twitter and recognized me as the person who always comments trying to make them realize how dumb their little crusade is.

And I was booted from the groupā€¦after being in it for like 10 years (got in back when I was working on a recipes blog with someone - I did the affiliate content).

Guess they didnā€™t like me calling them cunts in a public forum šŸ˜‚

Anyways, I did learn from that thread that itā€™s not just recipe bloggers trying to get sites de-monetized. Thereā€™s also apparently some travel bloggers doing the same.

I think what I find most interesting about all of this is they werenā€™t crying to Mediavine and Pinterest when people with more money and resources were mass publishing content before AI was available for content.

And I donā€™t recall seeing them crying about people using stock photos or the people who buy their recipes & photos from the people selling PLR recipes.

Just like no one is forcing them to stick to their current slow as molasses publishing schedule for their own recipe blogs. We all have other responsibilities and are in control of how we manage our time.

The change that I want to see in the recipes niche is AI content forcing these bloggers to get rid of all the shit on the page before the recipe.

This past week I needed to look up how long I need to cook chili with beans in the Instant Pot and I had to scroll past shit like ā€œwhat types of beans are normally in a bean chiliā€ and other bullshit.

Anyways, if youā€™ve got a food blog, then I hope you donā€™t find yourself caught up in their witch hunt.

Coming upā€¦

More on what Iā€™m working on and how itā€™s going.

Stay awesome,

Shawna
