I confess…

I have a really terrible habit. I dunno if it’s boredom, burnout or what, but I’ll go all in on something for a few months and then bail on it.

Today I was browsing some marketplaces looking at businesses/sites for sale and saw several SEO agencies for sale. All started after 2020 and all selling for crazy big money.

Do you know how many times I have really hit Growth Cupid growth strategies hard, just to stop after a few months?

This is seriously one of my worst traits.

Maybe I get distracted by other shiny objects? I’m literally getting in my own way all the damn time.

And literally all morning (except for when I went out to Whole Foods) I was thinking about lost opportunity in terms of Growth Cupid’s potential.

Around a year ago I was grinding at cold email and getting results…only to just stop cold turkey one day. I didn’t even start any other lead gen method.

But after seeing those agencies for sale today, I realized that I need to stop this. Like for reals.

Honestly, it might just be that I reach a comfortable income level from agency stuff and that’s what triggers me to get lazy. I get really excited about reaching the bigger potential and then decide that I’m good at the current level.

Several years ago when I was only selling HARO services at $899/mo my agency got up to $25K MRR …. then I decided that I was tired of dealing with people 🙃 I really should have kept going and then sold that shit.

Anyways, I’m telling you this because I’ve decided that I’m tired of being my own worst enemy in this regard.

I keep saying that I’m going to start posting on the Growth Cupid YouTube channel.

I keep saying that I’m going to create a lead magnet and run ads on Facebook for Growth Cupid.

I keep saying that I’m going to get back to cold email. Or that I’ll use LinkedIn and other socials for lead gen.

I keep saying a lot of shit and not doing any of it.

So, starting tomorrow I will give you a daily update on what I’ve done towards scaling my agency. And if I don’t, or if I have an excuse for not doing something, then kindly reply and tell me to get my head out of my ass and get to fucking work on it.
