š¦ Getting Started Selling Local SEO (part 2)
getting prepped to sell
Yesterday we talked about picking your niche and getting your case studies ready.
Next up, getting ready to sell services.
You gotta get everything lined up and ready to go so that if you get a āyesā from someone, then youāll be able to immediately get paid.
Donāt wanna give someone time to change their mind!

Getting Ready For Internet Monies
Obviously you need a website for your agency. Donāt over think it.
Just get a simple site up and you can make it look better later.
Pro tip: the pro version of most themes have free templates..including agency templates. Growth Cupid uses one of these.
You need a business names. Yes, it can be as simple as Shawna Newman Marketing, if you want.
Get it registered and legal where ever you are. If youāre in the US, you can get your EIN for free on the IRS website - donāt pay someone to do this for you.
I use a LLC structure. You can be taxed however you want - partnership, sole proprietor, or as a corporation. So whatever works best for you.
Wyoming is a dirt cheap place to register your LLC. And no state income taxes.
Iāve used this company going on 10 years now for all my LLCs/registered agent services.
Get a business bank account. Several places offer them for free. Several donāt.
Research it and go with whatever bank you want.
Note: if you are going after clients where you live, some will want to meet in-person and hand you a check. So, make sure you can deposit checks with whatever bank you go with.
Once you have a bank account, you need a way you can take credit card payments.
Some people will tell you to just use PayPalā¦donāt do that.
Amateur move.
Simplest option? Wave - itās free and you can create invoices.
I use a combo of Wave and Stripe.
But what about pricing?
This one is tricky and if you pay attention, youāll notice that I test different pricing a lot on Growth Cupid.
Try not to over think it and just go with something that seems to be the going rate for whatever niche youāre targeting.
Or, you can always choose pricing like āStarting at $750/month ā¦ā or whatever. Then you can talk with clients to get a feeler for their budget.
Remember, you can changes prices whenever you want!
As for displaying the price or not on the website, do whatever you want. I hate having to call places for pricing, so I always list prices.
But hey, you do you!
Stay tuned for part threeā¦.
