Should I Be Surprised?

Here’s how the JV arrangement was structured - since I had the page in the bonus program, he would take care of posting on the FB page and we’d split any earnings going forward.

He told me that he had a Python script to scrape for the most popular pages and he’d base content on that.

Sounds like a solid plan to me, but I know nothing about Python scripts.

We started this JV on the 25th of July, which just happened to coincide with the start of a new month in the Bonus Program.

Before the earnings period was up, I’d already noticed that we were restricted from earning in the program.

And, sure enough, when the earnings period concluded the page was removed from the program.

The bad thing about Facebook is that they don’t tell you any details on what exactly is against their policies.

He thinks it may be due to posting 24 times a day, so once an hour. But I’d previously been ramping up my posting schedule to ~20 times a day before the JV started.

I think it may be cause the images he was using were not original. I recognized some of them as being on other pages.

He was also using popular (and unrelated) hashtags in the posts - I assume to game engagement like people do on Twitter and Instagram.

The truth is that I’ll never know what caused it exactly. Shame since he did boost the numbers -

Guess now I’ll have to put this back in my daily work rotation to try to get it back to not violating policies.
