Digital Nomading Again…kinda

About a week ago, I officially moved outta Vegas. And I’m currently on the East Coast here in the States.

I’ll be hopping around this side of the country until the end of March, when we fly outta here to take my parents around Europe for a month. If you know anything about me and the relationship with my parents, then yes, I may have to leave them stranded at a train station somewhere 😅

After that, the plan is to settle in Spain and get the digital nomad visa. If you’re in Spain and get a lead on a legit apartment for rent starting in May, lemme know! We don’t have a hard requirement on location but are starting our search in Tarragona.

Did you see the shit show of Pinterest marking people’s highest trafficked pins as ‘spam’ so people can’t click through?

Here’s where I learned of it in the Raptive Facebook Group -

I ran my accounts through Tony Hill’s free blocked links tool and sure enough, I had a few accounts that each had a few that were blocked. All the highest traffic pins for click-throughs.

Had to fill out a ticket for each account. Never got a reply back. But apparently they’re all fixed.

Amazon Books Experiment

Had a lot of messages about my ‘gift books’ experiment in Q4.

I hate the idea of spending money on Amazon ads so I was testing what you could do without paying for ads. Result = earn a little beer money.

But when you pay for ads? That’s where you really start making money. I am loath to admit this. And I resisted for a long time.

That resistance basically cost me a big Q4. Could’ve gone from a couple thousand dollars to several of even tens of thousands.

Lesson learned.

Agency Updates

My stand alone Reddit agency is performing better than I expected. Since I was moving, I set client work up so that I’d only have one or two Growth Cupid clients over last month and this month.

But EMDs (and PMDs) still rank like gangbusters. And I’ve been doing some fun AI SEO work for the Reddit agency site.

Result? I had a sales call on January 2nd and every day that I wasn’t driving from Vegas to the East Coast. Then, I had more sales calls the very next day after I arrived.

We’re onboarding 3 new clients just this week. So far.

I think this is going to outpace Growth Cupid. For reals.

If you’ve got clients, we’re now setup to white label. Reach out if we can help. I think we’re priced cheaper than most of the other Reddit marketing service providers.

Other things …

Haven’t setup that Etsy store to go with a POD store/website that I created…but still thinking about it.

Been having a blast doing random shit to test getting cited in LLMs and AI overview.

Also thinking it might be fun to build a competitor to the PrayerSong site cause my wife is actually an award-winner songwriter. One award, but still, it’s an award so I can say that on the site…if I can get her to write the songs.
