It All Started 5 Days Ago…

So, five days ago I sent you a short email after reading about an interesting side hustle idea over my morning coffee.

That idea was AI music for monies.

Quick recap - I was reading Brooks Conkle’s Destroy That Box newsletter where he talked about it, though I’d heard about it a while back from the Exploding Ideas guy.

Then, yesterday I was listening to a podcast where it was mentioned as a legit business idea. That got the ole wheels turning in the brain.

And I thought to myself, that sounds like a lot of fun, even if it doesn’t make any money.

So I did a bit of keyword research to find a good niche.

And last night I mentioned the idea I wanted to run with by my wife and she loved it. We discussed a few ideas for songs.

Fast forward to this morning and she’s already used chatGPT to write some quick and fast lyrics for a few songs.

I truly think this is going to be a lot of fun, even if it never actually earns any money.

But hopefully it will bring in some monies.

We’ll also be doing a YouTube channel as well as getting the music up on Spotify. And I’ve already got the perfect domain - can’t believe it was available.

And once we get the first songs up on Spotify, I will share it all here. Just know that I have no idea how long it takes the distributor to get the files to Spotify and then for Spotify to get the tunes live for streaming.

I’ve never done anything like this before, so it will be a learning experience for me. And hopefully I’ll at least come away from it all with a blueprint you can follow for a fun little side thingie.

Beehiiv Ads Update For This Newsletter

Though haven’t running Beehiiv Ads on my local newsletter (just doing the first one day!), this is the second month of me running them in this one - and giving away all of the earnings!

Last month’s total was somewhere over $200 and I think we’re on track to exceed last month’s earnings right now.

Here’s where we’re at -

This figure only include earnings from the newsletter through July 10th, so I expect the monthly total to be over $300…maybe even over $400.

Plus, I have ads scheduled through mid-August, which means lots of opportunity for the current amount to grow.

And I think last month’s earnings finalize tomorrow. I’m not sure if they payout to me tomorrow or the next day.

Anyways, as soon as I have the money, I will use a random number generator to pick a winner from the eligible subscribers. Then, I’ll contact the winner and send over the monies. And I’ll also announce the winner here as soon as I hear back from whoever it ends up being.

Just a reminder for how I’m giving away the monies - Each newsletter where you click on the ad = one entry for the monies. And that has to be within 72 hours of the email hitting your inbox.
