šŸ”® Is AI On Pinterest Over?

and food bloggers on a crusade...again

I don’t know how things are where you live, but here in Vegas it seems like literally everyone is sick. Most with norovirus, but the flu is a close second.

Knowing that my brother and his wife were coming in, I had every intention of getting my flu shot before they arrived.

I did not.

We went out to a million places. Chinatown was PACKED with people that we had to weave through when we went out for dinner on Friday night.

My brother is now gone, and I’m starting to feel a bit of a scratchy throat.

So, I hate that I may be getting sick, but as long as it’s not norovirus then I’m grateful.

Though the possibility that I’ll be starting the new year sick is not really what I planned to talk about today.

First, just wanna remind you (in case you missed it on the 25th) my Christmas gift to you - I’ve lowered the cost to my private Skool community to $1.00. Join here.

I’ll likely leave it at this price through the end of the year.

The AI Tag + Your AI Food Site Is In Danger

So, I saw something interesting today in the Fat Stacks forum.

If you’re creating pins using AI images, then listen up!

According to this person, Pinterest is tagging AI images with something that lets everyone else know that they’re AI.

I took a look at my accounts to see if any of my pins that have AI images have this tag…they do not.

At least not yet.

What are you seeing?

And should we even worry about this? Cause I don’t think most people really care about it being AI.

Except for those cunty food bloggers who are on a mission to get all AI sites banned from Mediavine.

Yup, they’re at it again.

There are loads of monetized sites listed in this thread in the Food Bloggers Central group on Facebook.

And they’re all working together to report these en masse.

They have no way of knowing for certain if a site is AI and are using things like typos as justification that a site is AI. Yes, fucking typos.

If you are a food blogger, get your ass in this group to monitor if your site is in their crosshairs. But God forbid you have an AI image as your Facebook cover and/or profile photo, cause they won’t let you in and will target you as well.

And yes, I remain baffled about why this even matters to them. Cause I assume they’re fine with stock photos.

I was assuming they don’t understand how they get paid by Mediavine.

I asked in the group and the answer is that they just don’t like the competition -

Coming up…

I’ll be doing a year-end look at all the different things I’ve done online to make money. I’ll also be looking forward and discussing what I’ll be spending my time working on in the new year.

Stay awesome,

Shawna

P.S. If you’re looking for high level discussions or tips on things like local SEO and Rank & Rent, I highly recommend Jacky Chou’s Advise community. I’ve been in it for several months and there’s tons of value in it, including a SOP for local SEO.
