It’s Been 84 Years…

So it has finally happened.

I got PAID for the first real ad sale on the local newsletter! And it was an inbound lead!

🥳🥳🥳

The good news? It’s for 15 weeks.

The bad news? She asked for a discount since it’s so many ad spots, so I gave 20% off…then she proceeds to say she can only pay half now.

Like, why did you ask for a discount if you can’t pay up front to get the discount?

But, I’d already quoted the discount so I let her pay half now.

And I assume if she doesn’t get the leads she’s expecting, then she won’t make the second payment next month. If that happens, she only gets the amount of ads that would end up being what she paid divided by full price.

I tell ya, I’ve been having a real struggle with these businesses in Vegas when I’ve been trying to sell ads.

They all want the ads, but they want them for free. And now this.

I’m beginning to get the feeling that a LOT of people/businesses in Vegas are just cheap asshats.
