Last night, something happened that hasn’t yet happened to me in the 8 years that I’ve lived in Vegas.

If you heard someone yelling “There’s a scorpion heading right for me!” around 10:30pm last night, that was me….from the toilet…while I was a having a pee.

I’ve been fortunate to never have a scorpion in the house in all my time here (they climb walls!), and have only seen 3 in the garage during that time.

But this was definitely not cool. Mid pee stream and I notice the little fucker scurrying right towards me.

If you’ve never seen a scorpion in real life, those fuckers are wicked fast.

I think this now means I’ve almost completed my ‘living in the desert’ bingo card after seeing a black widow, a tarantula, and a scorpion. Pretty sure this means it’s time to move cause I don’t wanna see a desert rattlesnake.

But, that’s not going to be what we talk about today.

The other thing on my mind is the stuff I shared yesterday about the new “personalized experience” in the SERPs where Google is using AI to create the results.

I can’t stop thinking about it.

Then I was telling my wife about it over dinner last night and her bullshit detector is even more finely tuned than mine.

She was like - You do realize why they’re doing this, right? It’s to sell more ads.

My mind hadn’t even made it there yet cause I was to busy being stuck on the wtf-ness of it all.

But she’s probably right.
