If you’ve been here a while, then you already know about my love/hate relationship with Beehiiv.

Yes, it’s currently what’s used for this newsletter.

Yes, I’m planning on changing that.

No, I haven’t made a final decision on the change yet.

Too Many Issues

While I’ve got my own gripes with Beehiiv, one I’ve been hearing a lot in recent months is the renewal price for all the people that managed to lock in that $997 for 100,000 subscribers deal.

Now that their plans have higher costs, those renewals are bananas.

And I hate their “support” as it’s slow and often not helpful.

Apparently they also just ignore you if they feel like it-

I’m not surprised by this. And I agree with one of the commenters about the “tech bro” vibe.

In my experience, they like to make changes without testing shit. Shit gets broken like all the time.

Worst time was when I was writing a newsletter…and they made an update and I lost the whole damn thing.

When you send a newsletter daily, you’re more likely to notice these sorts of things.

That’s just a sample of why I’m not staying on Beehiiv.
