Since HCU, all the places where niche site owners used to hang out have gotten weird.

Some are ghost towns.

All of them are less busy than they used to be.

Some some people seem to be changing their focus as often as Trump is changing his mind on tariffs.

And I saw an interesting thing in a group the other day…

Do Your Own Thing

If you haven’t noticed, social media is full of former niche site peeps talking about “vibe coding” and how they just no-coded some app, site, or some other shit.

Honestly, it’s been wild to watch how many of them are doing this.

Seems like if one person does it and gets traction, then more people start sharing videos they made on using Cursor to do this or that.

Then I saw someone in a group asking if he (or she?) needs to learn how to use Cursor now.

No. Unless you want to.

And it’s okay if you don’t.

There’s tons of interesting new things you can be doing right now to make money online. And you don’t need Cursor or any of the other hot AI coding tools for noobs.

I’m not fucking with that shit.

That’s not to say that I never will, but I certainly don’t feel the need to right now.

I’m still over here super locked into directories and newsletters (local + niche). And I’ve got other stuff I’m tinkering with.

Find your thing.

Maybe it’s Cursor. Maybe it’s not.

But certainly don’t feel the need to do it just cause someone who used to be popular for talking about niche sites is doing it now.
