Local Newsletter Life, Week 21

This week marks the 21st week of sending out a local newsletter using Beehiiv.

A week or so ago I paused the Leads ad campaign that I was running on Facebook cause I want to test other lead sources that are free.

And cause we’ve spent over $3K on the ads, which means we’re like $2500 in the red right now.

Anyways, we’re right at 3,200 subs and I’ve had two promising conversations with local business owners recently.

One wants to buy a week of ads….but not until we get closer to holiday shopping season. The other wants to partner up and promote each other.

I decided that since I’m doing cold email, I’ll just go ahead and get a list of all the local businesses here that I think could be good sponsors and do a cold email campaign to contact them all at once.

Not sure how that will go, but look forward to finding out.

I was going to scrape those leads, but in the end I think I’ll do it manually to make sure that I get exactly what I need.

Beehiiv Ads Earning Update

Can’t remember if I updated you on the final total for August ads earnings or not.

So, here’s an update on that total and how things are looking for this month.

Ah, so close to $600 for someone.

Quick reminder, I give away the ads earnings to one lucky person who has clicked on the ads. Clicks are valid for the first 72 hours after I send the email out.
