At the start of 2024, I switched from using Buffer for my Facebook page posting to using Post Planner.

The primary reason for my switch? Being able to schedule a first comment on Facebook.

I tested Strevio as well, but it has a higher cost that just wasn’t worth it to me.

Then, for the brief period when someone else was managing my Facebook page (and got it kicked out of the bonus program), I stopped my Post Planner subscription cause I didn’t need it.

A little over a month ago, I was thinking about using Post Planner again.

Should I Have Seen This Coming?

So, what I didn’t tell you above is that when I cancelled my Post Planner subscription, I ended up getting charged again the following month.

And I had to take the time to write in to support and get that charge reversed.

Fast forward to early October when I reached out to ask if my account history would still be there if I were to restart my subscription.

I was happy to see that the history would still be there, but I didn’t wanna pay full price if I didn’t have to.

After all, I was on a discounted plan before I’d cancelled and I’d seen Carl Broadbent sharing a 25% off code.

I was thinking that the worst case scenario was I’d just start a new account and lose the history cause why pay full price if there’s loads of coupon codes out there.

Dude really wanted to push me onto the yearly plan to give me this discount.

Whenever someone does this, I always use the same line - I can’t afford that right now - cause it tends to end the convo.

But I didn’t even bother replying to his email cause I’d already told him in a previous email that I wasn’t doing a yearly plan.

Fast forward three days later and I get an email that he reactivated my account - WITHOUT MY CONSENT - with Carl’s discount code.

I was annoyed, since I didn’t request that or give permission to the old credit card on file, but I decided to let it go since he gave me the discount…or so I thought.

The second month of billing was two days ago and it was charged at $49…obvi the coupon code from Carl was removed….with an attempt to get me on a yearly plan again when I inquired as to why.

At this point, I’m done with Post Planner. For good. I’d rather pay more for another tool.

And I’m still waiting on him to refund the $49 charge.

Consider my experience a warning if you’re using Post Planner or considering it.

Wonder if Carl Broadbent even got affiliate commission off that first month with his affiliate code?
