🎁 Q4 Cheap Ecomm Play

While I’m STILL waiting to hear from a human at Bolt, I did want to let you know that some people reached out after I asked with more info on ranking sites made with vibe coding tools.

I’m behind on watching things on YouTube, but Arielle Phoenix recently made a video on this very topic. So, it is an issue. We should all watch it. (I haven’t yet)

I also wanna tell you about an idea I had today (probably a way to procrastinate on doing agency growth stuff)

It’s Day ??? of me making a real effort to scale Growth Cupid. Nothing. Did nothing. I got distracted by another idea. (If you want more details, I’m going a bit more in depth in my Skool community.)

It’s so cheap it’s stupid to not try

So, I was thinking about Q4 and how it’s always the best time to try new ideas in terms of physical products cause people are in super duper buying mode.

Last year I had big plans to do something that we’ll talk about another day cause I’m actually doing it this year.

But today’s idea came to me when I was looking on social media where peeps were talking about the Facebook content monetization program.

I was thinking, if you’re gonna be spending money on Facebook ads, then why not take a chance on your own shit? Then I immediately decided to move on that idea (no wine involved in this decision).

So, I got a domain. I got a 3-day free trial of Shopify (it’s just $1/mo for the first three months after that).

Here’s the play - use my Ideogram subscription ($180/yr) to spin up some POD designs for t-shirts, mugs, stickers, etc.

Since I’ve already got the Ideogram subscription, it will only cost me $3 for 3 months of Shopify + Facebook ads + my time.

The idea I spun up this afternoon is in the political niche. I won’t be sharing it cause it’s too volatile of a subject.

I made 3 designs. They’re on t-shirts, mugs and stickers.

To get my prompt, I looked at some of the public images and found this. Use that prompt with a few tweaks to get my designs.

All I have left to do with this idea is the Facebook ads…which I’m kinda worried about since this is political. Hopefully I don’t lose my ads account with this.

If this idea fails, I just stop the Shopify payments before it goes to regular pricing on January 24, 2026. And it’s only cost me an extra $3 + FB ads + my time (per store I spin up).

Why not? right?

Now I’m thinking about how many different niche Shopify stores like this can I get up in the next ~30 days?

Could be a fun little experiment. Though the wife may kill me if I spin up a store a day (30 stores) and run ads for all 30 of them.
