😲 Real HCU Recoveries?

Before getting to it today, just wanna put the call out for anyone who’s interested in “taking over” this newsletter for a day or two.

I’ve got some travel scheduled later this month (and March…and April) and am opening it up to anyone who has something they wanna share or promote.

Essentially seeing if anyone wants to “guest post” via this newsletter.

Anyways, have you seen the recent reports of HCU recoveries?

But Will It Stick?

The first one I saw was on Twitter earlier this week. A dude claiming not only a full recovery, but traffic better than where he was at before HCU.

Normally when I’ve seen people saying they have a recovery, it’s not legit and they’re just trying to sell a service.

But this guy is refusing interview requests until he sees if the recovery sticks.

The site is apparently shavingadvisor.com

In the comments, he was asked what actions he’s taken since HCU. Here’s what all he claims that he’s done to the site since it was hit-

Note that backlink building is not mentioned, yet there is obvious evidence of paid links. At least when I glanced at the backlink profile I noticed a few from Dec 2023. Didn’t dig deeper than that.

And Mike Futia shared a video about the site.

Saw some Search Console pics seeming to show recovery as well.
