So, I bought another ad promo to run during these free days. Found a cheap $20 ad at Hidden Gem Books for their romance newsletter.

That is scheduled for Monday. And the $110 Freeboosky ad is already scheduled for Sunday.

That means today is the only day that I don’t have an ad promo for.

There were more ad promos I could have booked, but I’m hesitant to spend too much on something so unknown. (and this was all booked before I saw that someone has pre-ordered the other books)

Ideally when you launch, you wanna have loads of promo ad spots booked to cover all the days of your freebie days to keep up that momentum.

BookBub is the absolute best for most niches, but it is also incredibly expensive for most niches…and my wife would absolutely kill me if spent money like that.

Though I am considering running one of the cheaper BookBub ads next week - like the little display ads, not the newsletter promo feature.

Anyways, so I checked the book’s ranking on Amazon before I went to bed last night to get an idea of the before and after.

Since I have zero ad promos scheduled for today, I spent the morning posting about the book being free pretty much everywhere I could find - Facebook groups and subreddits.

I also increased my daily budget for the Facebook ad that I recently started running so that more people will see it during these free days.

Hopefully, those of you who are going to download it do so today so that I get an accurate picture of how well the Freebooksy ad does tomorrow.

Even though I botched my launch, I think these three days will do well enough and if I can nail the launch of book #2 and #3, then I just might manage to make a profit in the end.

It was at 98 orders when I looked last night, so that’s 26 downloads so far today.
