Month 2 Is In The Books

Month two saw the release of the second book in the hockey romance series.

I had big plans to do a proper launch and really seize the opportunity…

well, I was too fucking busy with client work via Growth Cupid.

I didn’t even have time to schedule any free days or promos - so total failure there.

The book launched essentially just into the Kindle store on it’s own.

Since I paid for the ghostwriter, I really hate that it went down like this.

But it’s not the end of the world.

Cause these books will just be the back catalog as more and more books are released, right? Right.

Technically I think we’re still in the first 30 days so I could scramble to get a promo going like now.

But I won’t.

Book 3 is due for release tomorrow. Haven’t had time to do a proper promo for it either.

This one has fewer pre-sales than book two, which surprises me.

Yes, book three has a guy-guy relationship focus, but my research tells me that straight women are all about that in this niche.

So, it will be interesting to see how it does.

Anyways, here’s what the two live books did in November -

So, not a ton of cash, but I still think they’ve got decent momentum. (And yes, I’m still in the negative here)

I’ll try to remember to schedule a freebie promo soonish.

Then I’ll have to try to remember one for book three.

After that?

I plan on ordering more books! KDP is one of those compounding things where the more books you have published, then the more you can make.

Think about it like this - if someone sees one of my promos and loves the book, then what do they do?

They look to see if I have any others they can read. That’s the magic of having a good backlist of titles in your catalog.

I’m certain that eventually this will be a positive revenue thing.
