I Was Just Anxious To Launch

So, even though my experience is in non-fiction, I know that there’s right way and wrong way to launch a book in the crowded Amazon marketplace.

Am I lazy? A little bit. Was I just in a hurry to get it published? Definitely.

Will I take more time with book #2? Yes.

Okay, so I should have scheduled some promos with the various promo sites, and maybe ran some FB ads.

Instead, I published it. Scheduled two free days. And then told ya’ll to download it.

The good news? Somehow, it got some organic traction and people other than ya’ll seem to have downloaded it.

The ranking high was short-lived cause as soon as the freebie promo ended, it started shooting back up.

No one has left any reviews yet, which are super important for getting more sales. (nudge, nudge)

But what I really wanna know is what you guys think of the writing. Paid ghostwriter vs chatGPT-edited book?

A few people downloaded it via Kindle Unlimited, which is why you see the Page Reads and Estimated Royalties sections.

Overall though, I think this shows a lot of promise. If I’d done the launch properly, then I might have made it even higher on that best sellers list and actually stayed up there longer.

Now I’m working on getting my “author” presence known and figuring out a real promo situation that I can do with my remaining freebie days…before the month ends.

Yes, I’m running out of time! So, I’m off to work on that right now.
