Maybe I Should Have Known

Yup, the book upload still looks like this…

Now, technically the ETA for publishing is up to 72 hours in review.

But I didn’t expect it to take this long.

You know why?

Because a half hour before this book was uploaded, I uploaded one to a different KDP account…and it was live on Amazon within 12 hours.

And it was a much longer book.

But I think I know what’s up here.

You see, I expect the worst from sharing the book that started as a terrible chatGPT draft.

I fully expect someone to contact Amazon and try to get the book removed with the reason “It’s AI” - even though the book is a far cry from the raw AI output after the several rounds of edits and revisions.

But, people suck, and I know about this risk.

That’s why I created a whole new KDP account that ONLY has this one book on it.

I even created a new LLC to use for this KDP account cause you can’t have more than one account. (yup, $150 for a new LLC just cause I know people are assholes)

So, I’m thinking that since this was the first upload for this new KDP account, it’s getting a bit of an extra review.

Hopefully, it will be done when the 72 hours ends tomorrow.

In the interim, I’m off to proofread this 40,000-word manuscript from a fantasy/romance ghostwriter that I hired.

I’l tell you more about that soon.
