In the last few weeks I’ve seen people talking about RPMs for both Mediavine and Raptive.

I first saw this in a Facebook group where someone was complaining about low RPMs.

Then I did some digging and discovered that it’s not unique to that person. Or to one ad platform/network.

If you’re monetized with display ads, you maybe have noticed this drop.

Tariffs…Again

Just yesterday I got an email from the small coffee company that I buy from that a 5-lb bag of coffee was going up to $100.

$100 😭

And it looks like tariffs are to blame for the RPM drop as well.

In fact, one specific company stopping their ads due to tariffs. Wild, huh?

It’s Temu.

They pulled their ads a month ago and they were, apparently, a massive ad buyer.

Great news for anyone running ads in ecommerce, but terrible news for anyone trying to score some sweet ad revenue.

Anyways, just something else to have to think about if you’re building a business online.
