It was weird when HARO underwent that name change to Connectively.

It was wild that it became a pay-to-pitch situation.

And now, its all coming to an end.

More on that in a moment.

Did We Kill It? Or Did A Greedy Corporation? Does It Even Matter?

I’ve been building HARO links to sites for years before it became the big thing to do with niche sites.

I’ve seen it go from super easy to land loads of links to kinda challenging due to everyone and their cat being able to respond in mass thanks to AI.

Then it transformed into Connectively and you suddenly had to pay to pitch - was this corporate greed or an attempt to counter the AI problem?

One thing I do know - HARO was never the same after the name change. So, I’m not surprised the doors are shutting.

In fact, at Growth Cupid we pivoted to HARO alternatives for our clients earlier this year after seeing the steep decline in quality opportunities with Connectively.

Before this change, we were landing one link for every 20 pitches, which was terrible.

After we changed to HARO alternatives, we’re landing 6-10 links for every 20 pitches.

Of course, some niches/industries are better than others, but that’s our current average.

I’ve got a guy who is a coding wizard and somehow he pulls in all those opportunities from the different sources, uses AI to categorize them, then uses AI to craft replies for our clients. After that, the replies get run through a humanizer before submitted.

That’s how Growth Cupid can offer HARO-style backlinks for a fraction of the cost most agencies are charging. Cause I’ve literally got one guy on this and his coding magic fulfilling all the orders. (And yes, we can white label if you need this for your clients)

So, if you’re worried about HARO going away for good, just know that there’s better alternatives that give waaaaay better results these days. And they work really well for ecommerce sites and local sites right now.

You can sort through all those different places on your own, or hire Growth Cupid and let my guy work his coding + AI magic for you.
