š¤ Thrifting Your Way To Riches?
interesting side hustle
A couple of days ago I got recommend a video on YouTube that led me down an interesting rabbit hole.
And hereās whatās weird - I knew that this is a thing, but I had no idea the profit potential could be so massive.

Flipping Thrifting Finds
Let me start by saying that I donāt know if this side hustle is something that can be done outside of the US.
Here we have loads of thrift stores and flea markets where Americans donate their shit and it gets resold for cheap.
So, hereās the breakdown of this - you go to a thrift store (like Goodwill) and look for items that have a good resale value on things like eBay.
The first video that popped up on my feed was the latest one by this guy.
He used to be a public school teacher and quit to do this side hustle and now he makes more money than he used to.
His rule is to only buy stuff to flip where you can make at least $20 profit. (at I think that was himā¦I watched a lot of vids on this topic)
Once I finished that video, I was recommend this one about a guy who is a multi-millionaire from doing this shit. Though this guy seems to work 40+ hours a week on this.
So insane, right?
Heās also got his own channel and his latest video is on how to make $100K a year doing this.
I find this fascinating, though Iām not sure itās something that Iād wanna do.
My main concern here is do these people ever end up bringing bed bugs into their homes & cars from buying all this shit at the thrift stores?
Cause letās face it, thrift stores and the things they sell arenāt exactly known for their cleanliness and sanitation.
I also wonder how much time is spent doing the āadminā things here - listing the items for sale, responding to questions, packing it all up, taking it to the post office, etc.
Iāve sold clothing on eBay in the past (when I had something valuable that I no longer wanted/neededā¦like when I stopped having a day job and no longer needed a professional wardrobe) and it is a pain the ass. People ask the dumbest shit and want you to do things like measure the length of the arms or the legs of clothing.
But what do you think about this?
Like I said, I do find it fascinating and I guess itās something good to keep in the back of your mind incase youāre ever in a shitty financial situation and need to make money. The multi-millionaire guy said he got started with just $35.
Anyways, Iāll be out of town most of next week and have a couple of people taking over writing the newsletterā¦.and ONE of them will be talking about flipping stuff onlineā¦though not quite the same as Iāve talked about today.
I think youāll really enjoy it, so watch for that next week!
Coming upā¦
More on what Iām working on and how itās going.

Stay awesome,
Shawna
