Since sending out yesterdayā€™s email, thereā€™s been a LOT of chatter about whatā€™s going on with Mediavine Journey.

Twitter has been the best source of info, at least for me.

And I thought you might wanna know the tl;dr of what Iā€™ve learned.

Lots Of Sites Affected

From what Iā€™ve seen, most of the sites kicked off Mediavine Journey have been in the food niche.

Sites with lots of listicles were also affected, but AI recipe sites seems to be the main ones targeted.

Multiple people have had more than one site removed.

At least one person was removed for ā€œinvalid trafficā€ despite having like only 30 pageviews a day.

One person was getting 160,000 monthly pageviews. Bet that was a nice payday before getting booted.

And hereā€™s whatā€™s really interesting - apparently around 500 sites were removed from Mediavine Journey.

Thatā€™s a lot.

A lot of people they didnā€™t even have the decency to notify. Probably a lot of people who are collateral damage, too.

Who would have thought Mediavine wouldā€™ve turned into this? Such a terrible business to partner with.

And how will they last if they keep doing shit like this?
