One of you asked why I’m so angry. (I don’t like to see people getting taken advantage of. And is it really so difficult for people to have morals and be decent? I know, this industry is full of people without morals….something I’ve complained about for years).

So, I was gonna write about something else today, but let’s unpack some things after yesterday’s email.

It’s Been 84 Years…

Or so it feels like, since I’ve been doing the whole ‘make money online’ thing.

Such a cringe thing, make money online, but it’s really the simplest way to say it.

Being unfulfilled and wanting more is how it started for me, and likely for you.

Got my undergrad, then thought getting my MBA would fix it. (It did not.)

But I already knew that cause I started blogging to make money while working towards my undergrad.

Along the way, I was a rube who fell for some scare tactic marketing. I was desperate to get out of the cubicle.

My spent money just kept me there while elevating some other jackass out of theirs.

It took a long ass time for me to find someone trustworthy to learn from. So long. So many shady salesmen with shiny promises along the way.

Then the one trustworthy person I’d found retired after getting his bag (and after Amazon closed his affiliate account and kept over $100K in earnings).

When I initially started Skipblast, it was to be a female voice in a male-dominated industry. But it didn’t take long for me to decide that I could either use my voice to promote all the things for maximum affiliate earnings, or I could make less affiliate money by being real and using my voice for calling out shit for the shit that it is.

So, I decided to be the person that I wish I’d found when I was first starting out and desperate for answers.

You won’t see me say in public that I think people partnering with Amazon (for the Influencer program) are idiots and then months later start promoting an Amazon Influencer Program course as an affiliate (not naming any names here…)

I have been threatened by well known people in this industry. People with more resources than me (that resulted in me having to censor myself). People who are STILL thought of as respectable in this industry.

You probably wouldn’t even believe me if I told you who it was, even though I have the receipts.

Even today, I still feel like I don’t have the resources to publicly reveal names.

This is me.

Doing my whole ‘be the change you wish to see in the world’ thing as best I can. Cause what else is there?
