There Will Be One More Update

From time to time, I make a copy of the json files for Mediavine and Raptive. Cause you never know when it will be nice to have one to look back at.

Anyways, I was going through my spreadsheets and discovered that I made a copy of the Mediavine Journey json file on March 2nd.

That means that once all the sites that were booted off actually get removed from the json file, I can get an accurate count on how many sites were removed.

For now though, I can only tell you how many sites were on the list on March 2nd and how many are on there right now.

March 2nd: 7,028

Today: 7,166

I can tell that they’ve not yet removed the deactivated sites. At least the ones I know of where people have shared the URL.

Once I notice a difference in the file, I’ll take a look to see how many were removed so that we have a better idea of just how many sites it was.

And I’ll also be able to see what niches were most affected…though we already know it’s likely going to be recipe sites.

Should still be interesting data.
