Did Anyone Like The CPM Offers?

It didn’t take long for the CPM offers from Beehiiv to disappear.

Y’all already know that I was happy about that.

But guess what?

There’s ANOTHER change that started this week on Beehiiv.

And yes, even if you’re not using Beehiiv, it’s still relevant if you have a newsletter that you may flip/sell/etc at some point.

So, two things happened to me this week with Beehiiv ad opportunties.

First up, one that I had scheduled was straight up cancelled.

I had that one scheduled for Nov. 8th.

Guess I learned that once booked, there’s no guarantee for these ads….even though I cannot change my mind once I accept an ad opportunity.

These big companies…

Anyways, true to the email, I did receive two new ad opportunities to “make-up for the cancellation” - and I noticed something new.

The CPM ads are back….but in a better way.

So now you can choose how you want to get paid for accepting an ad.

You can choose CPM or CPC. AND the CPM amounts are much higher than the initial offerings.

It will be interesting to see if the CPC payouts change now that advertisers can also do CPM.

I want newsletter ads via Beehiiv to remain a good paying revenue stream because it keeps the value of newsletters high.

Though with all these changes they keep testing out, I suspect it’s already affected multiples as a result of the uncertainty around the ad revenue.
